SPINAL ADJUSTMENTS:
Key Benefits
A chiropractic adjustment is the art of using a specific force in a precise direction,
applied to a joint that is fixated, “locked up,” or not moving properly. This adds
motion to the joint, helping the bones gradually return to a more normal position
and motion. The purpose of this safe and natural procedure is to achieve improved
spinal function, improved nervous system function, and improved overall health.
There are many ways to adjust the spine. Usually the doctor’s hands or a specially
designed instrument delivers a brief, highly accurate thrust. Some adjustment
methods are quick; whereas others require slow, constant pressure.
After years of training and clinical experience, Dr. Kopsch has become
highly skilled in the delivery of myriad adjustments.
COX DISTRACTION MANIPULATION creates a “push, pull, pumping”
effect on the intervertebral disc space. This allows the nucleus pulposus (A) inside
the disc to assume its central position within the anular fibers and relieve irritations
on the spinal nerve (B) caused by inflammation. It also increases the intervertebral
disc height (C) to remove tension on the anular fibers and nerve (B) by creating more
room and improving circulation.
Cox distraction manipulation realigns your spine, restoring vertebral joints (D)
to their physiological relationships of motion. It also improves posture and movement
while relieving pain, improving bodily functions, and fostering a state of well-being.
